Saunders is the NCHA Offensive Player of the Week after helping Lawrence to a first in program history when the Vikings knocked off No. 15 St. Scholastica, 3-2, Saturday. Saunders scored his first goal to help overcome an early 1-0 deficit in the first period and then went on to net the game-winner as Lawrence defeated a Top-15 opponent for the second time this season - the first time they have ever beaten ranked opponents twice in the same season (LU beat No. 2 St. Norbert earlier this year). It was his second multi-goal game of the campaign and he also had a goal in the series opener Friday.

Jacobson is the NCHA Defensive Player of the Week after a near-perfect series against MSOE on the scoresheet. He recorded his second and third shutouts of the season in two close games, highlighted by a 25-save performance in Saturday’s 2-0 victory. On top of that, he added an assist on the second goal in the contest to run his season total to three. His win-loss record of 13-0-1 ranks first in the NCAA in winning percentage and he is also third in the nation with a 1.41 goals against average.

Adrian College continues to hold on to its No. 1 national ranking after the 2-0-0 week and is now unbeaten through a school-record 19 games at 16-0-3. That sets up quite the highly-anticipated battle this upcoming weekend as the Bulldogs battle No. 2 St. Norbert at the Cornerstone Community Center in De Pere, Wis., for the first-ever regular-season meetings between the two teams.
