Jessica VonRuden Named First Team CSC Academic All-American

AUSTIN, Texas – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced the Women's Division III At-Large Academic All-American selections on Thursday afternoon. The Academic All-Americans were voted on based on the All-District Team honorees. The nominees needed a 3.5 GPA or higher and play in 50% of games during the season with athletic success. Representing the Adrian College NCAA women's hockey was, Jessica VonRuden was named First Team Academic All-American for Division III.
 
VonRuden finished her graduate degree with a 4.0 GPA in accounting. In 2022-23, she served as an assistant captain for the Bulldogs while going on to earn Second Team AHCA All-American honors. She is a three-time NCHA All-Conference selection along with a three-time NCHA All-Academic honoree and an AHCA All-American Scholar.
In her five seasons at Adrian College, VonRuden played in 122 games scoring 76 goals with 66 assists for 142 total points. She ranks third all-time in games played, second in goals, sixth in assists, and third in points in program history.
 
VonRuden is one of four women's hockey players to be named to the Division III CSC Academic All-American team this season, and is the first Adrian College women's hockey player all time to earn the honor.
