Men’s Hockey Dominates Finlandia in Series Finale

BLAINE, Minn. – A five goal second period paced the Bethel University men's hockey team to a 7-0 series finale win over Finlandia Saturday evening inside Bethel University Arena.

Dylan Giorgio led the Royals with a pair of goals and one assist while Jarrett Cammarata earned all of his three points on assists. Bethel saw six different skaters light up the lamp in the final four minutes.

Things were pretty much even on the scoreboard going into the first intermission as Bethel narrowly outshot the Lions 9-8 with zeros still in the goal column.

Bethel got the second period going with a power play goal from Ben Ward where Luke Posner picked up the assist. The goals just kept coming from there as Sam Wilhite and Jake Herter scored without two minutes of each other.

The Royals added another power play goal from Dylan Giorgio before Nick Ketola's goal at the 18:26 mark sent BU into the locker room up 5-0.

Dylan Giorgio tallied his second power play goal of the evening expanding the lead to six before Luke Posner put in his fifth goal of the season at the 6:35 mark.

Netminder Travis Allen picked up the win in the crease tallying 17 saves in the shutout.

Off to a 3-0 start, the Royals jump into MIAC play next Wednesday for a single game at Saint John's.
