ST. CLOUD, Minn. – Saint John's hockey dropped a 3-2 non-conference decision to Concordia (Wis.) on Friday, Nov. 23, at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center (HBNHC) in St. Cloud.

Senior forward Robb Stautz (Roseville, Minn.) gave SJU (5-3-1, 3-1-0 MIAC) a 1-0 lead with a power-play goal, his third on the man advantage in the last three games, 7:51 into the contest.

Stefen Seel tied it for the Falcons (1-5-1, 0-3-1 NCHA) with a rebound goal, on the power play, with 1:09 left in the first period.

Senior forward Matt Colford (Champlin, Minn.) gave the lead back to SJU with a wicked wrister, his third goal of the season, 9:42 into the second period.

Nick Guerra tied it at 2-2 for CUW at the 17:26 mark of the second and scored what proved to be the game-winning goal, his team-leading fifth tally of the season, with 3:50 remaining in regulation.

Junior goaltender Andrew Lindgren (Minneapolis, Minn.) made 29 saves in the loss.

Concordia out-shot SJU 32-25, but was 1-for-5 on the power play (0-for-4 in the third period).

The Johnnies host No. 14 Marian (Wis.) at 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, at the HBNHC. The game was originally scheduled for a 2 p.m. start, but was bumped to 4 p.m. due to the Johnnies' noon NCAA Playoff game in Collegeville.
