Lake Forest’s Budde and Trine’s Scarborough
Earn NCHA Women’s Hockey Weekly Honors
Lake Forest College senior Amy Budde (F - Lindstrom, Minn.) is the NCHA Women’s Offensive Player of the Week and Trine University junior Molly Scarborough (G - Ramsey, Minn.) is the NCHA Women’s Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.

Budde is the NCHA Offensive Player of the Week after playing a role in each goal that Lake Forest scored this past weekend in its sweep of Northland College. She opened the series by converting a penalty-shot opportunity for a goal while also recording a pair of assists in Friday’s 3-0 victory. She followed that up by setting up the game-winning power play goal in the Foresters’ 1-0 triumph on Saturday. The honor is the second of her career.
Scarborough claims NCHA Defensive Player of the Week honors after playing an instrumental role in her team picking up crucial points in the race for the Slaats Cup Playoffs. She anchored the Thunder’s efforts in an important 1-0-1 weekend against St. Norbert College, posting a .969 save percentage and a 0.96 goals-against average in the series. On Friday, she buckled down after allowing the opening goal and shut out the opposition over the final two periods and overtime to secure the comeback tie. On Saturday, she again allowed just one goal, posting 32 saves - which included 15 in the third period alone. The unbeaten weekend moves the Thunder into a tie for fourth place.
2018-19 NCHA WEEKLY TOP PERFORMERS
Sula Argyris, Trine
Trine picked up an important 3-1 win against St. Norbert on Saturday to push them into a tie for fourth in the conference standings and Argyris had a hand in all three of the team’s goals. She finished the day with two goals, including the game-winner, and an assist.
Kortney Diaz, Adrian
Diaz scored four goals in two games against Concordia-Wisconsin. Became the 17th Bulldog to record a hat trick with her natural hat trick on Saturday. Finished +6 for the weekend.
Abbey Dokken, Marian
Dokken recorded three assists on the weekend as Marian split with Aurora. She posted two assists in the opener and then recorded her third assist in the finale.
Denisa Jandova, Adrian
Jandova stopped all 22 shots faced against Concordia-Wisconsin on Saturday to improve to 4-0-1 on the year with team-leading four shutouts.
Hannah Koniar, Marian
Koniar had a multi-point game as Marian defeated Aurora 4-2 in the opener of their series.
Olivia Monzel, Aurora
Monzel led Aurora to a 1-1 weekend at Marian with two goals and two assists. In AU’s 6-2 win, she had two goals and an assist.
Jacque Rogers, Lake Forest
Rogers posted a pair of shutouts at Northland College over the weekend, making 14 saves in Friday’s 3-0 victory and 28 in a 1-0 triumph on Saturday. She has now held opponents scoreless in five of her last six starts and ranks fifth in the nation in save percentage (.950), tied-for-sixth in shutouts (5), and 10th in goals against average (1.25) on the year.
Taylor Thompson, St. Scholastica
In a weekend sweep of Finlandia, Thompson scored two goals and added three assists. In Friday’s win, Thompson was part of four of the team’s six goals with two goals and two assists. On Saturday, her goal streak would end at four games, but she recorded an assist to complete the sweep.
