Spellmire is the NCHA Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season after contributing to seven of Lake Forest’s nine goals in a pair of victories over visiting Marian University on the weekend. She assisted on the first goal, scored the game-winner, and added another assist in Friday’s 4-1 triumph. All the scoring in Saturday’s 5-0 win occurred in the opening period with Spellmire recording a goal and three assists. She finished the week with 7 points (2G/5A) and leads the NCHA with 33 total (15G/18A).

Turner also earns her second NCHA Defensive Player of the Week honor after her stellar play in a sweep of St. Norbert College. She recorded 33 total saves and tallied a perfect 0.00 goals-against average. The two shutouts brings her total to five on the year and helped the Bulldogs to the weekend road sweep. Every stop was big Friday as the Bulldogs came away with a 1-0 victory and followed that up with a 3-0 win Saturday. Turner held the Green Knights to an 0-for-9 showing on the power play in the two games.
