Sweep NCHA Women’s Hockey Weekly Honors
Marian University sophomore Ally Fox (F - Greenville, Wis.) is the NCHA Women’s Offensive Player of the Week and junior teammate Lindsey Strainis (G - Green Bay, Wis.) is the NCHA Women’s Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.

Fox is the NCHA Offensive Player of the Week after coming up big when her team needed it the most. With postseason hopes on the line, Fox netted three goals to lead the Sabres to a sweep of Northland, moving her team into control of the final playoff spot for the NCHA Slaats Cup heading into the last weekend of the regular season. Fox netted a pair of power play goals in the 4-1 finale with one of her tallies serving as the game-winner. She lit the lamp just 5:03 into the contest and added another before the end of the first period.
Strainis joins her teammate as the NCHA Defensive Player of the Week, playing a key role in the Sabres weekend sweep. Strainis stopped 50 total shots in the series, posting a .962 save percentage and a 1.00 goals-against average as Marian swept the two huge contests against Northland. She stopped 29 shots in the opener, allowing only one power play goal, before a 21-save performance in the finale. The sweep puts the Sabres in the sixth spot for the NCHA Slaats Cup Playoffs heading into the final weekend of the regular season, allowing the team to control its own destiny for the postseason.

Lexi Holman, Concordia
Holman scored both of the Falcons goals in a 3-2 overtime setback at Aurora Saturday. She added two points (1G/1A) in Monday’s make-up contest as well.
Mac Johnson, St. Scholastica
Johnson recorded a pair of goals in Friday’s victory over Trine. She then added an assist on Sunday as the Saints completed the sweep of the Thunder. Johnson has a point in seven of the last eight games.
Alexia Klaas, St. Scholastica
Klaas scored a goal in each of the three games last week. She scored against No. 5 University of Wisconsin-River Falls on Tuesday. She then tallied two goals in Friday’s win over Trine and added another goal on Saturday to complete the sweep of the Thunder. She has scored a goal in four straight games and has at least one point in seven straight.
Rose Krasofsky, Adrian
Krasofsky scored the game-winning goal in Saturday’s game against Finlandia. She finished the weekend with a +4 and was 18-32 (56.3%) in faceoffs for the two games.
Nicole McKernan, Aurora
McKernan picked up her first collegiate hat trick in exciting fashion as Aurora stayed alive in the NCHA playoff picture with a 3-2 overtime win against Concordia Wisconsin. McKernan had all three AU goals including the game-winner with 27 seconds to play in overtime.
Jordan Trapp, Lake Forest
Trapp scored half of her team’s goals in a pair of victories at St. Norbert over the weekend. She converted a pair of power play opportunities Friday’s 4-1 triumph that clinched home ice for the Foresters in the quarterfinals of the NCHA Slaats Cup Playoffs. Trapp also scored to break a 1-1 tie in the second period on Saturday and Lake Forest held on for a 2-1 victory.
Kristi Zink, Adrian
Zink tallied one assist in the Bulldogs 5-0 win Saturday over Finlandia. She followed up that performance with a two-assist outing on Senior Day to help Adrian prevail 7-0 over the Lions.
