The Aurora University women's hockey team was superb in a shutout victory over Marian University on Sunday afternoon at the Fox Valley Ice Arena. AU won 1-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The teams were scoreless in the opening frame.
- 6:48 into the second period AU got on the board. Lauren Zielecki provided the shot with assists from Emma Martel and Tereh Edstrom.
- Spartan Chiara Pfosi was the story for the night though as she stopped all 35 Sabre shots sent her way.
- With 1:25 to go in the game and Marian having pulled their goalie, AU picked up a penalty providing the visitors with a 6 on 4 chance.
- Pfosi and the Spartan defense made the 1-0 lead hold up and AU left the ice happy on Super Bowl Sunday.
