Stegora is the NCHA Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season after the role she played in her team securing a key weekend sweep in league play. After being held without a goal since November 22nd, Stegora recorded three goals against St. Norbert College. Stegora scored the lone goal of Friday night’s 1-0 win, intercepting a Green Knight pass and beating the goaltender 1-on-1. She then added two goals in Saturday’s 5-0 victory.

Thomeczek gives her team a third different NCHA Defensive Player of the Week honoree this season after the flawless effort she put in during the Saints sweep of St. Norbert. Just a freshman, Thomeczek registered a pair of shutouts, stopping a total of 48 shots for the weekend. Thomeczek held the Green Knights to an 0-for-9 showing on the power play and now has shutouts in the last three games she has started, moving to a perfect 4-0-0 on the year.

In other league action, Adrian College was very impressive, outscoring its opponents by a combined tally of 32-2 in a 3-0 week. With the victories, the Bulldogs moved up a spot in each national poll and have climbed to No. 3 in both. Lake Forest College again kept pace, getting by Concordia University Wisconsin in a pair of much closer games, with scorelines of 3-0 and 2-1. The Foresters now sit ranked No. 6 by USCHO.com and No. 7 by D3Hockey.com. With the offensive outburst, Adrian now holds the top three spots in the nation in points per game: Kaylyn Schroka (17-25-42), Sarah Shureb (18-20-38) and Kristin Lewicki (14-22-36).
