The NCHA welcomed 2017 to the ice with 8 games, 5 on the men’s side and 3 on the women’s.

For the men, Adrian roared back into action with a 9-2 victory, while Marian and St. Scholastica each posted 4-2 victories (Brandon Millin scored four times!). Concordia Wisconsin and Lake Forest got back at it as well, each earning important one-goal decisions - with the Falcons getting the game-winner from Jake Switzer with just 20 seconds left.

On the women’s side, it was a strong night in net everywhere. Lindsey Strainis didn’t miss a beat, continuing her strong play with a 37-save shutout of Hamline. Concordia Wisconsin got 23 saves from Christina Pattengale in a 3-1 win over Bethel and four different players netted goals to back Jacque Rogers and her 19-save shutout.
