Marian University Men and Adrian College Women
Lead Way as NCHA Names All-Academic Teams

With the regular season officially having reached its conclusion late last month, the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association has announced today the members of the men’s and women’s 2016-17 NCHA All-Academic Teams.

Marian University led the way on the men’s side, having 16 players from its roster earn spots on the squad. On the women’s side, Adrian College topped the field with 12 players.

Highlighting the way, 16 men’s representatives are earning the academic distinction for the third time in their careers, reaching the normal maximum (players need to sophomores to be considered). They are Michael Baldwin (Marian), Tanner Bull (Concordia), Austin Campbell (MSOE), Gage Christianson (MSOE), Felix Henriksson (Lawrence), Josh Herrington (Concordia), Austin Hervey (Adrian), Michael Hoy (Adrian), Brodie Jamieson (Marian), Scott Milnthorp (Marian), Brandon Parrone (St. Scholastica), Mattias Soderqvist (Lawrence), Anthony Stempin (Northland), Derek Sutliffe (St. Scholastica), Brandon Unser (MSOE) and Zach Woodman (MSOE).

For the women, the same total of 16 student-athletes are three-time winners: Maddy Dixon (Marian), Emily Duncan (Adrian), Brooke Gibson (Adrian), Anja Kadijevic (St. Scholastica), Nicole Krumwiede (Concordia), Rian Lennon (Marian), Jess Meluch (Marian), Veronika Metanova (Concordia), Allie Patrick (St. Norbert), Paige Picard (Marian), Isabel Regine (Lake Forest), Bailey Robertson (Adrian), Amanda Siiro (Marian), Brenna Smith (St. Scholastica), Sydney Smith (Adrian) and Lexi Tzafaroglou (Adrian).
