NCHA Quarterfinals

It was a thrilling night of postseason hockey around the NCHA on the men's side, with three of the four series decided by mini-games - one in overtime!

 

St. Norbert vs. Finlandia

The Green Knights took care of business, winning 2-1 on Friday and then closing it out with a 7-1 victory Saturday.

 

Adrian vs. MSOE

The Bulldogs rebounded from a 3-1 loss Friday with a 7-1 win Saturday and then dispatched MSOE in the mini-game, 2-0.

ADRIAN, Mich.--With their backs against the proverbial wall, the nationally-ranked Adrian College Bulldogs men's hockey team dug deep and struck often in the early going to whip visiting MSOE, 7-1, to equal their Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Harris Cup Quarterfinals series on Saturday at one-game apiece and then eliminated the Raiders in the mini-game, 2-0, to advance to the tournament semifinals next weekend.

 

Lake Forest vs. Aurora

The Foresters are moving on. After a 4-2 win Friday, Aurora came back with a 5-1 win to send it to the mini-game. Lake Forst

Big goals from Ryan Kruss and Joey Sardina push the #Foresters into the @NCHAhockey semi finals. Kruss scored with under 5 minutes to tie it in the mini game and Sardina scored in sudden death.

 

Marian vs. Northland

Extra hockey awaited the Sabres and LumberJacks as well, with Marian responding from Friday night's 2-1 loss with a 5-1 decision Saturday. The Sabres then moved on with a 1-0 win.

FOND DU LAC, Wis. - Using their momentum from the previous 60 minutes, Marian found the back of the net just 1:24 into the mini-game with freshman Yuri Chernichko scoring off a rebound.  Mathias and fellow freshman Salvatore Scalise each earned an assist on the play.
