Hearts in the Valley- Glashauser/DeBenedet Sign with Knoxville

Northland College Hockey is excited to announce that Seniors Max Glashauser and Lucas DeBenedet have signed professional contracts with the Knoxville Ice Bears of the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) and will suit up this evening (2/21) vs. the Quad City Storm in Knoxville, TN. 

Glashauser, the Senior Defenseman for the LumberJacks, suited up in 100 career games, registering 14 goals and 27 assists for 41 points. The Senior had a career year on the blue line this season, collecting 6 goals and 10 assists to lead all LumberJack defenseman this season. 

DeBenedet, from International Falls, MN, competed in 102 games as a LumberJack, registering 40 goals and 51 assists for 91 points to finish in a tie for 2nd all time in points. DeBenedet was also a two time All-NCHA conference award winner during his time as a LumberJack.  

"Today is another big step forward for our growing program" commented Head Coach, Seamus Gregory. "Lucas and Max are two players who have helped our program get to where we are today, we couldn't be prouder of their accomplishments".
