The first national rankings of the year were released today by DIII hockey media outlet U.S. College Hockey Online (USCHO), and three teams from the NCHA appear in the poll. A fourth is receiving votes.
St. Norbert, which just a few days ago was picked first in the NCHA Coaches' Poll, is the top team in the preseason USCHO poll. The Green Knights are the defending NCAA national champions.
Adrian and Marian also appear in the poll. The Bulldogs are ranked third while the Sabres are ranked 14th. Both teams received at-large births to the NCAA Tournament last season. Adrian was picked second in the NCHA Coaches' Poll; Marian was picked third.
St. Scholastica received votes in the USCHO poll, giving the NCHA four teams getting national attention.
The regular season opens Friday night, October 26.
