King wins NCHA Offensive Player of the Week honors out of a highly-contested field after leading the Vikings to a 2-0 record, which included a victory over a nationally-ranked opponent, marking the second such occurrence this season. King picked up four points (1G/3A) in the pair of games as Lawrence posted a weekend sweep, highlighted by that 4-3 win over No. 15 St. Scholastica. He picked up an assist to make the score 3-0 against CSS and then added assists on Lawrence’s first and third goals in a 5-2 win over Northland, sandwiched around his 12th goal of the season. King leads the NCHA at 1.52 points per game and is tied for first at 0.95 assists per contest.

Vorva is the NCHA Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season after putting up three impressive outings in a row. Vorva allowed just four goals combined in the three games with 23 saves against Northland, 19 against then-ranked No. 15 St. Scholastica and 23 more against Eau Claire Sunday for a total of 65 on the week. Vorva closed out the weekend with a 1.33 goals-against average to go with a .942 save percentage, while also leading the penalty-kill unit to a 14-of-15 success rate in the trio of contests.

Christian Karbler, Trine
The freshman forward finished the weekend slate of games with a team-high three points. On Friday, Karbler recorded two goals, his first of the season. The second of his goals would eventually become the game-winner in the Thunder’s 4-2 victory over Finlandia, their first win in NCHA play. On Saturday, the rebound off of a Karbler slap shot set up Trine’s lone goal of the contest against nationally-ranked St. Norbert.
