It was a big night for Concordia University Wisconsin, as Friday night in the NCHA saw the Falcons pull their first-ever defeat of the No. 1 team in the country with a 4-2 win over St. Norbert in De Pere. The Falcons had just 18 shots in the contest, but grabbed a 1-0 lead in the first and led 2-0 just 1:51 into the second. Nick Malvin made 26 saves to earn the big victory.

In other games, Aurora knocked off St. Scholastica, 3-1, and MSOE claimed an important 3-1 victory over Marian University. Northland College stayed hot, topping Finlandia 6-0 behind a hat trick by Ty Kraus (his second in a row) and an impressive 31-save shutout by AJ Smith. Adrian College also bounced back with a 5-3 win at Lawrence University.

On the women’s side, the Bulldogs won their seventh in a row, topping St. Norbert 4-0 behind a Kristin Lewicki hat trick and Jade Walsh shutout. St. Scholastica edged Marian 2-1 on a pair of Alexia Klaas goals, Concordia claimed a 6-1 win over Finlandia and Allyson Reilly led Northland to a 7-0 defeat of Post with two goals and two assists. In the CUW win, Lexi Holman tied the school record with 5 points (2G/3A).
