Austin Martinsen (SR, Farmington, Minn./Farmington HS) and
Erik Palmqvist (JR, Linkoping, Sweden/Anderstorpsgymnasiet) scored second-period goals for Augsburg University, but the No. 4-ranked Auggies couldn't rally closer to top-ranked Adrian College, as the host Bulldogs scored a 5-2 nonconference victory in a national top-five battle on Thursday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Auggies surrendered a power-play goal and shorthanded goal in the first period, then fell behind 3-0 at the 5:31 mark of the second period. Ninteen seconds later, Martinsen cut the lead to 3-1, taking the puck on the left wall off a cross-ice pass from
Gavin Holland (SR, Stillwater, Minn./Stillwater HS) and sprinting to the net on a break for his fourth goal of the season and team-high 13th point (four goals, nine assists).
• Augsburg cut the lead to 3-2 at the 14:10 mark with a power-play goal from Palmqvist, who scored on a rebound on a shot in front by
Austin Dollimer (SR, Rosemount, Minn./Rosemount HS). Holland received the second assist on the goal.
• The Bulldogs took a 4-2 lead with a power-play goal at the 16:46 mark of the second period, and clinched the win with an empty-net goal with five seconds to play in the game.

• Ty Enns scored a goal in each period for a three-goal hat trick to lead Adrian, the top-ranked team in the latest USCHO.com Division III national rankings.
• Alessio Luciani and Rex Moe also scored goals for Adrian, with both adding an assist for two-point nights.
• Cameron Gray had 20 saves in goal for the Bulldogs.
