MEQUON, Wis. – The CUW women's hockey team finished the home and home series with Adrian on Saturday. The Bulldogs won the game with a 5-1 score.
The Black and Yellow opened the game on a 5-0 run,
Senior Allison McElwee (Laramie, Wyo.) lit the lamp in the third period with assists from freshman Natalia Etter (Boveresse, Switzerland) and senior Maddie Savage (Grand Rapids, Mich.).
Sophomore Sarah Varga (Janesville, Wis.) finished with 54 saves in the net in her CUW debut.
The Bulldogs held a 59-13 shots advantage on Saturday.
Junior Emily Reimche (Billings, Mont.) led CUW with four shots.
The final minute of the game was run off due to an injury for sophomore Isabela Noyle (Baltimore, Md.). CUW does not have an update on her status at the time this was written.
The Falcons return to play on Thursday against Marian.
