  • Junior netminder Blake Wojtala made 55 saves for his ninth career shutout as the Seahawks defeated the Pointers 3-0.
    • Wojtala's 55 saves are a NCAA Tournament record for games that ended in regulation.
  • Erik Udahl scored twice, once in the first period then again on the powerplay in the second, and Danny Philbrick scored on an empty net late in the third to send the Seahawks to the title game.
  • The Seahawks were outshot 55-20.
  • Salve Regina defenders blocked 19 shots.

LAST TIME OUT FOR ST. NORBERT -  ST. NORBERT 4, COLBY 3 - MARCH 23, 2018

  • St. Norbert College scored two goals in the first three minutes of the game and used that as the impetus to a 4-3 win over Colby College.
  • St. Norbert took control early, scoring just 1:28 into the game when Roman Uchyn scored from directly out front for his ninth goal of the season. The Green Knights added to their lead when Dominick Sacco's shot shorthopped and handcuffed Colby goaltender Sean Lawrence for a 2-0 edge just 2:35 into the game. St. Norbert would take a 3-0 lead at 11:33 of the first period on Tanner Froese's goal.
  • The Mules responded with two quick goals in the second period and had a powerplay to try and knot the score, but Froese got loose on a shorthanded attempt and beat Lawrence just inside the near post for a 4-2 lead with 35 seconds left in the period.
  • Justin Grillo's scored a goal off a redirected puck off a Green Knights' defenseman to trim their deficit to 4-3 with 5:52 remaining. Colby would have an extra attacker on for the final 56 seconds of the game, and nearly tied the game on a shot with 40 seconds left but T.J. Black smothered the puck in time. St. Norbert's defense closed out the win the rest of the way.

  • Salve Regina earned the university's first ever at-large selection for any sport and given a bye into the NCAA quarterfinals.
  • Salve Regina's early season success helped it gain an at-large bid despite losing to Nichols in the conference semifinals. The Seahawks repaid the favor to the Bison in the quarterfinals, elimintaing the Bison from the tournament.
  • Wins over perennial NCAA contenders such as Norwich, Adrian, and UMass Boston in non-conference play, coupled with regular-season success throughout the difficult conference schedule, helped the Seahawks work their way into the national conversation.
  • The Seahawks have gone 9-1 this season when facing opponents who were ranked at the time of the contest.
  • Head coach Zech Klann is in his first season at the helm of the Seahawks program. He was named CCC Coach of the Year, guiding his squad to a 22-5-2 record, resetting the best mark in Salve Regina history.

  • Senior captain Pat Thompson has the most games played in program history (105). He has played 20 more games than the next closest player on the Seahawks roster.
  • Danny Eruzione ranks fifth in the nation in points per game scoring for freshman (10g-25a-35).
    • Eruzione is nephew to Mike Eruzione, captain of the 1980 United States Olympic team that won the Gold Medal, and notably the Miracle on Ice over the Russians.
