How it Happened
The Falcons led 2-0 at the first intermission with Concordia holding a 13-9 advantage in shots.

First-year skater Brodie Girod (Clavet, Saskatchewan/Clavet HS (Nipawin-SJHL)) got the Saints on the board three minutes into the second period to make it 2-1. Tyler Hinterser (Edwardsville, Ill./Edwardsville HS (Brookings-NAHL)) was credited with the assist.

However, Concordia got a pair goals 40 seconds apart later in the period to make it 4-1 after two periods.

In the third period, Hinterser registered a power-play goal four minutes in to make it 4-2. Michael Talbot (Anoka, Minn./Anoka HS (Minot-NAHL)) and Arkhip Ledenkov (Polotsk, Belarus/Ostroshitsko-Gorodokskaya (New York Aviators-USPHL)) had the assists. Only 54 seconds later, A. Ledenkov scored to cut the margin to 4-3 with assists from Jon Hansen (Duluth, Minn./Duluth Marshall (Minnesota Mullets-USPHL)) and Jacob Seitz (Mountain Iron, Minn./Virginia HS (Minnesota Magicians-NAHL)).

The Saints then tied the contest at 4-4 on a Talbot power-play goal with 7:26 remaining. A. Ledenkov and Filimon Ledenkov (Polotsk, Belarus/Ostroshitsko-Gorodokskaya (New York Aviators-USPHL)) had the assists. It remained 4-4 after 60 minutes so the contest went to overtime.

CSS won the opening face-off of the 3-on-3 overtime session and on the first rush, Fuss found the net with a slap shot in the slot to give the Saints the 5-4 victory 24 seconds into OT. The Ledenkov brothers had the assists.
