Women’s Hockey journey ends in the NCHA Semifinals

DULUTH, Minn. – The 2020-21 women's hockey season came to an end on Saturday evening in the NCHA Slaats Cup Semifinals. St. Scholastica remained unbeaten on the season with a 4-1 victory in game two of the weekend.

The Saints struck early on Saturday with a goal less than three minutes into the game.

Senior Ally Hull (Wasilla, Alaska) lit the lamp for the 15th time this season off assists from junior Emily Reimche (Billings, Mont.) and freshman Amanda Carney (Aurora, Ont.).

The Saints secured a pair of second-period goals and a goal in the third period to claim the victory.

Sophomore Annalina Van Hercke (Castle Rock, Colo.) had 28 saves in the final game of the year.

The Saints held a 32-22 shooting advantage on Saturday. Emily Reimche led the flock with four shots.

The Falcons finish the year with a 10-9-0 record.

The CUW senior class tied the program record with 43 career victories. The Falcons soared to new heights in 2021 with the highest NCHA finish in program history and reached the NCHA Slaats Cup Semifinals for the second time in program history.
