Austin Dollimer (SR, Rosemount, Minn./Rosemount HS) broke a 1-1 tie with a power-play goal with 5:59 left in the third period, the first of three Augsburg University goals in a 4:56 span, as the Auggies advanced to the NCAA Division III men's hockey national semifinals with a 4-1 quarterfinal win over St. Norbert College (Wis.) on Saturday night at Ed Saugestad Rink.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• With the win over No. 6-ranked St. Norbert, the No. 4-ranked Auggies will face top-ranked Adrian College (Mich., 29-1-0) in the national semifinals next Friday (3/25) at 2 p.m. Central time at the Herb Brooks Olympic Center in Lake Placid, N.Y. It will be the second meeting of the year between the two teams, after
Adrian topped Augsburg 5-2 in a game on Dec. 30 in Adrian, Mich. Geneseo State (N.Y., 23-3-0) will face the University of New England (Maine, 23-3-0) in the other semifinal on Friday.Â
• The Green Knights took a 1-0 lead on a goal with 13 seconds left in the first period, but Augsburg tied the game at the 4:34 mark of the second period, when Jared Blackowiak (SR, Eden Prairie, Minn./Eden Prairie HS) scored his 13th goal of the season, finishing an up-ice rush with a goal from the left side, assisted byÂ
Austin Martinsen (SR, Farmington, Minn./Farmington HS) and
Gavin Holland (SR, Stillwater, Minn./Stillwater HS).
• The game remained a close, hard-fought affair until the final six minutes of play, when the Auggies earned a power-play opportunity. Dollimer put the Auggies in front at the 14:01 mark, scoring on a redirection in the slot off a pass from Holland.
Patrick O'Connor (SR, Moorhead, Minn./Moorhead HS) had the second assist on the goal.
• Augsburg added two insurance goals in the closing minutes.
Erik Palmqvist (JR, Linkoping, Sweden/Anderstorpsgymnasiet) scored at the 17:53 mark, firing a shot from the left dot off a forward feed from
Mason Palmer (JR, Plymouth, Minn./Shattuck-St. Mary's HS), following a steal by
Kyler Yeo (SO, Woodbury, Minn./Hill-Murray HS). The Auggies capped the win with an empty-net goal by Martinsen, assisted by Dollimer, with 1:03 left in the game.
• After being outshot by an 11-5 margin in the first period, the Auggies outshot the Green Knights by a 21-12 margin the rest of the way -- including a 13-3 advantage in the decisive third period.

Samuel Vyletelka (FY, Zilina, Slovakia/Grammar School of St. Francis of Assisi) stopped 22 of the 23 shots he faced, improving to 11-2-0 on the season.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
• It is the third time that Augsburg will appear in the national semifinals in program history, after finishing in fourth place in both 1984 and 1998. Augsburg is now 5-8-1 all-time in NCAA Division III national tournament history, making its seventh appearance in the national tourney.
• Augsburg claimed its first-ever win over St. Norbert in NCAA tournament play, after the Green Knights ended the Auggies' seasons the last four times the Auggies have appeared in the NCAA tournament (2016, 2017, 2018, 2019), all at St. Norbert.

Greg May has led Augsburg to its second-most wins in a season in school history at 25-4-0, behind the 1981-82 NAIA national champion Auggies, which went 28-1-1.
