The Bethel University men's hockey team suffered a pair of shutout losses Friday night and Saturday afternoon at Concordia University (Wis.) and Marian (Wis.) University. The Royals opened their post Thanksgiving road trip Friday in Mequon, Wisconsin and were downed by a 5-0 score to the Concordia University Falcons. Bethel had a short turn around with a noon start in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin on Saturday and lost 2-0 to the Marian University Sabres.
The Royals will return to MIAC action next weekend with a series against Gustavus Adolphus. The Gusties have started 4-3-1 overall and a strong 3-1 in the MIAC, good for second place. The Royals are coming off an MIAC series split with the Concordia College Cobbers and sit in a tie for sixth place. The Royals and Gusties will faceoff at 7 p.m. on Friday in St. Peter at the Don Roberts Ice Rink on the Gustavus Adolphus College campus before coming to Bethel University Arena at the National Sports Center in Blaine, Minnesota for a 7 p.m. contest on Saturday.
