MINNEAPOLIS -- Scoring its most goals in a game since the 2012-13 season, the Augsburg University women's hockey team claimed a 10-0 nonconference triumph over Marian University on Saturday afternoon at Ed Saugestad Rink.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Auggies blitzed the Sabres throughout the contest, eventually claiming a 44-6 advantage in shots on-goal -- including a 33-2 advantage through the first two periods. Eight different Auggies scored goals, and 12 different players figured in the scoring with a goal or assist.

Bridget Wagner (SR, Niles, Ill./Maine South HS) scored a pair of goals, one in the first period and another in the second, and
Emily Ach (SR, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Park Center HS) scored two power-play goals in the second period.

Mackenzie Molnar (SR, Inver Grove Heights, Minn./Cretin-Derham Hall HS) scored a first-period goal and added three assists, tying a career-best with a four-point performance.
Ellie Tabaka (SR, Maplewood, Minn./Tartan HS),
Nikki Nightengale (SR, Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson HS) and
McKenna Ellena (JR, Wales, Wis./Kettle Moraine HS) had three-point nights, each scoring a goal with two assists.

Mikayla Jones (SR, Oak Park Heights, Minn./B.E. Emerson Prep HS) and
Lanie Lobdell (JR, Aurora, Ill./Metea Valley HS) also scored goals for the Auggies, and
Katie Flynn (FY, Woodbury, Minn./East Ridge HS) had two assists for her second collegiate multi-point effort.
Jeanette Bealke (SR, White Bear Lake, Minn./White Bear Lake HS),
Jenna Gerold (FY, Farmington, Minn./Farmington HS) and
Elly Strunk (JR, Blooming Prairie, Minn./Blooming Prairie HS) also had assists.
• Making her first collegiate start and second appearance of the season in goal,
Mara McClain (FY, Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson HS) scored a shutout victory, stopping all six shots she faced.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
• The 10-0 victory marked the most goals for Augsburg in a game since a school-record 13-0 win over Finlandia (Mich.) on Jan. 5, 2013.
• It's the ninth time that Augsburg has scored 10 or more goals in a game (against a varsity opponent) in the 25-season history of the women's hockey program.
FOR THE FOES
• Lindsay Lewison had 28 saves in the first two periods for Marian, with Molly Gross recording six goals in the third period.
