Hockey closes out road series in Michigan with 3-0 victory

HANCOCK, Mich. -- St. Catherine hockey secured their first shutout of the season with a 3-0 victory over the Finlandia University Lions for the series sweep 

Seven different Wildcats added points on Saturday starting with sophomore Lauren Henriksen finding the back of the net for her first collegiate goal assisted by junior Kaitlyn Blair just two minutes into the game. 

Rookie Madi Schwengler collected the first goal of her college career with three minutes in the first to put the Wildcats up 2-0 after one period. Schwengler's goal was assisted by sophomore Maiah Robert and junior Brittany Weber

The next 38 minutes of play remained scoreless with junior Lindsey Hays adding her first of the season from Blair and junior Marie Reimer

Senior goaltender Karly Schdmit was in the net for the full 60-minutes making nine saves.
