MEQUON, Wis. - The Falcons welcomed back the No. 1-ranked Adrian Bulldogs to finish up their two-game, weekend series.
It was all Adrian in the first period with three goals in the first period. All three goals were after the halfway point in the first period within five minutes of each other.
The Bulldogs struck first in the second period with a goal in the eighth minute.
The Black and Gold went into the second intermission with the 4-0 lead after scoring just once in the second period.
Adrian exploded with six goals in the third period
This was the final score of the matchup with Adrian taking the 10-0 win and the weekend sweep.
The Bulldogs held a 74-10 advantage in shots on Saturday.
Sophomore Liam McGarva (Fort Saskatchewan, Alta.) posted a career-high 55 saves on Saturday. Sophomore Riley Morgan (Scottsdale, Ariz.) added 11 saves in relief.
Freshman Joshua Maine (Tecumseh, Ont.) and freshman Nick Wieben (Mankato, Minn.) led CUW with two shots.
Sophomore Jordan Guiney (Victoria, B.C.) finished with a game-high 13 faceoff victories.
The Falcons are back in action on Feb. 4 when they take on Lawrence in a home and home series.
