SAINT PAUL, MINN.—The Hamline University men's hockey team squared-off against non-conference foe Finlandia University in a rare Tuesday-night affair at TRIA Rink. The Pipers cruised to a 2-0 shutout victory over the Lions.
Hamline improves to 2-4, while Finlandia falls to 1-9.

Ike Taraszewski broke the scoreless tie at 16:55 of the second period, which gave Hamline a 1-0 lead off an assist from Ryan Brandt and Mathias Branton. The closing minute of the game resulted in another Pipers goal as Jackson Bond's unassisted tally at 19:10 of the third made the score 2-0.
Hamline goalie Kevin Lake registered 19 saves in a complete-game shutout victory, while his counterpart Marcus Gloss tallied 37 saves for the Lions. Hamline out shot Finlandia 40-19.
The Pipers will return to action on Friday, December 3 at TRIA Rink against St. Scholastica at 7:00 p.m.
