FON DU LAC, Wis. - The Wildcat hockey team is off to their best start since the 2009-10 season securing their third win of the season with a 6-1 victory over non-conference opponent Marian University. The 3-0 Wildcats have scored a total of 19 goals this season compared to their opponents five. 

Rookie Kaitlyn Blair recorded the first goal of the night assisted by first-year Lindsey Hays and sophomore Sophia Gorski two minutes and 51 seconds into the first period. 

Junior Emilee Anderson scored the Wildcats second goal of the period assisted by rookie Nicole Maddox for her first assist of her career. 

Marian scored what would be their only goal of the game at 11:52 in the second period getting past starting goalie junior Bryce Boreen. 

First-year Marie Reimer scored her first career goal with an assist from Hays at 15:19 off the clock in the second period. After adding two assists tonight, Hays ranks first in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) for assists with five total. 

Maddox found the back of the net with 1:45 remaining in the second period with an assist from Anderson taking the 4-1 lead. Fifteen seconds later, junior Ashlyn Rakos scored the Wildcats fifth goal of the game assisted by first-year Brittany Weber. Anderson scored the Wildcats' sixth goal assisted by Reimer and Maddox. 

St. Catherine starts MIAC play on Friday, November 15 against Gustavus Adolphus at 7 pm at Drake Arena.
