GENEVA, Ill. – The CUW women's hockey win streak came to an end on Saturday afternoon at Aurora. The Spartans walked away with a 2-0 victory to send CUW to 6-7-2 on the season and 5-2-1 in the NCHA.
The Spartans struck first at the 6:33 mark of the second period.
They added the insurance goal halfway through the third period.
Aurora held a 32-25 shots advantage on Saturday afternoon.
Senior Emily Godwin (London, Ont.) led CUW with 10 shots.
Senior Natasha Wanless (Madison, Wis.) won 14 of her 19 faceoffs on the day.
Freshman Annalina Van Hercke (Castle Rock, Colo.) finished the day with 30 saves.
The Falcons look to get back in the win column on Friday when they Pink the Rink against St. Scholastica.
