SAINT PAUL, MINN.—The Hamline University men's hockey team hosted Trine University in the back-end of a two-game series at TRIA Rink on Saturday afternoon. The Pipers failed to find the score column in a 4-0 loss to the Thunder.
The Pipers begin their season 0-2, while Trine cruises to a 2-0 start.

Trine doubled up the Pipers in shots 41-21. Five of those shots came from Bobby Price, who tallied a pair of goals for the Thunder while Tyler Shetland and Justin Meers each registered one. Brandon Krumpschmid notched a pair of assists for the Thunder.
Kevin Lake came through with an impressive night in net for Hamline with 37 saves in a complete-game effort, while his counterpart Shane Brancato registered 21 in a shutout victory.
A significant amount of penalties continued to be called in the second night, as 15 infractions were assessed between both teams. A total of 38 penalties were called in the two-game series.
The Pipers will travel to UW-River Falls on Friday, November 12 at 7:00 p.m.
