Box Score ANGOLA, Ind. – Junior
Mary Kate Eiden scored late in the third period to help the St. Olaf College women's hockey team to a 1-1 tie with Trine University on Friday afternoon at Thunder Ice Arena.
Eiden answered Trine's (3-4-2) second-period goal with a late goal in the third period to help St. Olaf (0-11-1) to a tie with the Thunder. The junior scored her second goal of the season and ninth of her career.
After a scoreless first period, sophomore
Maddie Anderson hit the pipe early in the second period. Trine's Bailey Goodwin broke the deadlock late in the second period to give the Thunder a 1-0 edge heading into the final period.
At 15:08 in the third period, Eiden evened the score at 1-1 off assists from first year
Chloe LaFond and sophomore
Makenzie Booth. LaFond picked up her second assist of the season, while Booth tallied her first.
Grace Boswell-Healey faced 39 shots and saved 38. Anderson had a game-high six shots for the Oles, while senior
Johanna Glaaser had five.
St. Olaf finishes its two-game series with Trine on Saturday, Jan. 4 at 1 p.m.
