Auggie women drop 3-0 decision at St. Scholastica

DULUTH, Minn. -- Scoring a goal in each period, the College of St. Scholastica women's hockey team claimed a 3-0 nonconference win over visiting Augsburg University on Saturday evening at Mars Lakeview Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• St. Scholastica had seven different players figure in the scoring, scoring a goal in each period despite being outshot by a 34-17 margin by Augsburg.
• Two Augsburg goalies split time in the game, with each playing 30 minutes. Mara McClain (SO, Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson HS), in her fourth collegiate appearance in goal, started and had six saves. Chloe Stockinger (FY, Sauk Rapids, Minn./Sauk Rapids-Rice HS) made her collegiate debut and had eight saves in relief.
Kensie Malone (FY, Minneapolis, Minn./Gentry Academy HS) had six shots on-goal for Augsburg, while Brooke Leone (JR, Rochester, Minn./Mayo HS), Jenna Gerold (SO, Farmington, Minn./Farmington HS) and Hannah Gold (JR, Mequon, Wis./University School of Milwaukee) had four shots each.

• Kayla Kasel, Rachel Anderson and Emily Sabol scored goals for the Saints.
• Lori Huseby had 34 saves in goal for St. Scholastica.
